09 FAQ
Questions before you book
01 What is the difference between a Hydra and a Farana crane?
Both are pick-and-carry cranes: they lift a load and drive with it on tyres. The Hydra is the older design, built with a tractor at the back end. The Farana (from the Australian Franna design) drops the tractor back end for a purpose-built, more stable chassis, and usually lifts more: about 15 to 23 t, against 12 to 15 t for a Hydra.
02 How much can a Hydra or Farana crane lift?
Hydras are typically rated 12 to 15 t and Faranas 15 to 23 t, but only at a short radius, close to the crane. Capacity falls quickly as the boom reaches out: a Hydra 12 rated at 12 t lifts about 2.3 t at 8 m. Tell us the weight of the load and how far it has to go, and we will match the crane to the lift.
03 Which crane do I need for my lift?
It depends on three things: how heavy the load is, how far it is from where the crane can stand, and how high it has to go. Pick-and-carry cranes (Hydra and Farana) suit shifting, loading and placing on site. Truck-mounted cranes, up to 100 t, are for heavy or high lifts and set up on outriggers. Send us these details on WhatsApp and we will suggest the right one.
04 How much does it cost to rent a crane or backhoe loader per day?
The rate depends on the machine, how long you need it (by the hour, day or month), how far the site is from Ghaziabad, and the job. Call or WhatsApp with these details and we will give you the rate.
05 Do you send an operator with the machine?
Yes. Every machine we rent comes with an operator who runs it on your site, so you do not need to find or train anyone.
06 Is a JCB the same as a backhoe loader?
JCB is a brand, a British manufacturer. Its backhoe loaders are so common that many people call any backhoe loader a "JCB". The machine type is the same: a loader bucket at the front and a digging arm at the back. We rent backhoe loaders with an operator, and sell CMPL 2IN1 backhoe loaders.
07 Backhoe loader or excavator: which do I need?
A backhoe loader digs with its rear arm, loads with its front bucket and drives on wheels between jobs, so it suits trenches, pits, loading and backfilling. An excavator digs deeper and faster from one spot, for basements and bulk earthwork. If the job is mostly loading loose material, a wheel loader is quicker.
08 What is a pick-and-carry crane?
A mobile crane on rubber tyres that can lift a load and drive with it to another spot, usually without setting outriggers. That makes it quick to use on factory floors and tight construction sites. Hydra and Farana cranes are both pick-and-carry cranes.
09 What does a transit mixer size like 6 m³ mean?
It is the amount of concrete the truck carries per trip, not the space inside the drum (a 6 m³ drum has about 11.5 m³ inside). Common sizes are 4, 6, 8 and 10 m³. The drum keeps turning on the way so the concrete arrives workable.
10 What should be ready on site before the crane arrives?
A clear, firm route for the crane to drive in, firm and level ground where it will stand and lift, and a safe distance from overhead power lines. Know the weight of the load and where it has to go. If the ground is soft or freshly filled, tell us in advance.
11 Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Ghaziabad and work across Delhi NCR, including Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi, Faridabad and Gurugram.
12 How do I book a machine?
Call or WhatsApp with the site location, the work (the load to lift or the digging to do) and the dates. We match the machine to the job and send it with an operator.
